Melanie’s Lake Ontario Crossing

HAC’s very own “VICE-COACH” of the Mountain West Novice Group just completed a 42km swim across Lake Ontario.  Jane Vowles, Head Coach Carmen, Sam Forrester and I were there to watch as she finished her race.  It was so inspiring to watch – just awesome. I think about what she accomplished and the determination and drive that she must have to complete such a race and then think how patient she is with the novice kids.  My son was afraid to do a flip turn and her his coach crossed the Lake Ontario.  WOW!
